Thank you to everyone who supports us through Easyfundraising

We have received more than £600 through easy fundraising so far – that’s money that didn’t cost you a penny. Before you do your Christmas shopping why not sign up so that the shops give us a cash donation too. All you need to do is sign up to support Nick Webber Trust, and then go to the easyfundraising website before you buy something on John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, ASUS, Argos, Notonthehighstreet and hundreds more stores.

Iphone and Ipad users can even download a reminder app that will give you an alert when you are on a website where a donation is available to make it even easier!

Help even more Malawian young women achieve their potential next year

This Christmas we are again offering you the chance to ‘gift’ reusable period packs for a young woman to stay in Malawi. We really can’t overstate how popular this simple gift is with the young women who receive them – or the impact they are having. Last year, with your help, we were able to give packs to 625 young women at 6 schools.

We know we have done it before, but it really is hard to find a better gift. Headteachers of schools whose female students have received them, tell us how much attendance (and grades) have improved. And the young women who have received them tell us they are life-changing – “my grades are up because I’m no longer missing school”, and “I feel so much more confident now”.

Help us provide this gift to more young women next year. Your gift of £12 will buy a female school student 5 reusable sanitary pads, 4 bars of soap, a tub to wash them in, a sealable bag to store them in, and 3 pairs of underwear.

You can ‘buy a pack’ through justgiving.com and download a gift certificate to put under the tree.

Thanks to everyone that made last week’s Garden Party such a brilliant event

We wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make our annual Garden Party another lovely occasion, and to everyone who attended. A staggering total of £3300 was added to our funds, from generous donations sent by those who were unable to attend as well as that raised during the afternoon by our indefatigable sellers of plants, books, raffle tickets, cakes, jams and miscellaneous curios.

You can be sure that we won’t waste a penny of it!

Garden party on Saturday June 8th from 2pm

We are delighted to invite you to the Nick Webber Trust Garden Party in just a few weeks time. As well as delicious cakes and tea, the afternoon will feature a bring and buy stall, a tombola, and of course, a raffle for the famous Malawi Gin and other exciting prizes. And a chance to catch up on our innovative projects in Malawi.

As always, it will be held at 1 Apple Tree Walk, Clymping, West Sussex, BN17 5QN

No need to book, unless you would like a free pick-up from Ford station , in which case text Pauline beforehand on 07906243191.

Do come, bring your friends, your family, and your dogs for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon treat.
